The Largest Fighting-game
competition in The Netherlands! Featuring Poongko!

RFD (Red Fight District) is Holland’s biggest fighting game event ever. The first edition of this annual event will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of October 2011 in Weesp.This event is a cooperation of several of the Dutch fighting game communities. The three organisations with the biggest influence in the event are Tekkenzone.net, Drakenslag.com and DutchNoobz.nl. There are also numerous Dutch players who are supporting the event and devoting their time and effort to make it happen.

It’s not just the communities and players getting involved, several companies like Shadaloo.eu, Capcom, Namco, 12game.com and Warner Bros. are helping out to make this event a success. This help can come in many forms, like sponsoring prizes to supporting the organisation of the event.

Het evenement is tot stand gekomen door de samenwerking tussen verschillende community's in Nederland die zich allen met fighting games bezighouden. De 4 organisaties die invloed hebben op het evenement zijn Tekkenzone.net, Drakenslag.com, flawlessvictory.nl en DutchNoobZ.nl. Naast deze vier organisaties zijn het ook de Nederlandse spelers die dit evenement steunen en aan het evenement meehelpen.

De gedachte achter het evenement is het samenbrengen van de verschillende community’s die in Nederland actief zijn en het laten zien dat er in Nederland ook goede gamers zijn tegenover de rest van de wereld.

Het houdt echter niet op bij alleen steun en hulp van de verschillende community's en zijn spelers. Ook bedrijven als Shadaloo.eu, BrizaMila, Namco Bandai, 12game.com en Warner Bros. helpen mee het evenement succesvol te maken. Dit doen zijn op verschillende manieren, van het sponsoren van prijzen tot hulp bij het organiseren van het evenement.
